About the Artist.
Manuel Martín Remartínez was born in Oviedo. He studied at the School of Arts and Crafts in this city in the north of Spain. At the same time, he was studying Commercial Expertise at the School of Commerce. He moved to New York to develop his career in Advertising design at the Pratt Institute, New York Phoenix School of Design where he graduated in 1977. Design and painting have kept him busy to this day. He worked in advertising, design and publicity studios in NYC until 2006. Later he moved to Florida and continued to work doing freelance jobs. He returned to Spain in 2012 to retire in his native Asturias where he still does very selective commissioned work.
